New technologies mean that the options for remembering our dead are evolving and web memorials are becoming increasingly more common. However, our burial sites continue to lack the links to this technology, with only a few words, if any, to describe the person. Resting Place now provides the linkage between the burial sites and the persons web memorial.

We produce small and discrete stainless steel tiles that can be fixed to a grave or memorial that contains a unique QR (quick response) Code. When the QR Code is scanned using a smart device, such as a tablet or smart phone, it takes you directly to the persons web memorial. With a whole page dedicated to their life, there is potential to give so much more information than is possible to fit on to a gravestone or plaque, and the scope for family historians to give and to gain lots of information is infinite.

At Resting Place we believe that this new technology is adding value to the richness of memorials and burial sites, but we also recognise that there are activities that technology cannot replace. This is why we also offer personal grave tendering and finding. We can find, photograph and tend to the gravesite for those who are unable, whether it be due to time, distance or through frailty or perhaps just for those interested in their geneaology and wish to tend to the gravesite of a distant relative.
